Torremolinos now has a new square, right in the town centre opposite the Buen Consejo church. The square is to be called Plaza Pablo Ruiz Picasso, and a bronze statue of the artist was erected there at a ceremony attended by the mayor, Pedro Fernández Montes, last week. Now that the Plaza has been completed, work can begin on the History Museum which is to be built at one side.
