Customs officials seized more than 4,000 kilos of cocaine in international waters in the Atlantic last week, and arrested ten people, none of whom are Spanish. The drugs were hidden on board two ships and according to the government their confiscation has badly affected the economic structure of a major drug trafficking organisation based in Galicia, which was directing distribution of the cocaine. The vessels have now been taken to the port of Vigo, and the haul of drugs has been removed.
