A Rumanian man in his thirties was arrested last week after allegedly stabbing a hospital porter with a papercutter. The assault took place shortly after midnight when the porter and a female colleague were standing at the entrance door to Málaga's Civil Hospital. The man, who was behaving strangely, approached them without saying a word and slashed the porter five times in the face and neck. Two security guards rushed to his aid, and both also suffered slight injuries. At this moment the police arrived and managed to restrain the man, who was immediately placed under arrest. The porter, whose injuries were serious, received preliminary treatment at the hospital but was later transferred to the Carlos Haya.
