Edition: 525
Plans are under way for this year's Marbella Feria, which takes place in the first fortnight of June, and in response to complaints from local residents the committee, which is running the town will be implementing certain changes this year. The number of fairground rides will be reduced, to allow more space for people to move about, and the area directly in front of the houses adjoining the fairground will be kept clear to allow residents free access to and from their homes. Live music has now been banned from the Plaza de la Victoria, as have the bars, which are normally set up along Calle Peral. The new Urban Plan which is being drawn up for Marbella includes a permanent fairground on a site next to La CaƱada commercial centre, on the northern side of the town, and if it is approved works will begin as soon as possible so the new site can be used from next year.
