MAN DIES IN TRACTOR ACCIDENT

A 76-year-old man was killed when the tractor he was driving fell one-and-a-half metres into a ditch in the countryside outside Archidona last Friday. The Guardia Civil certified that the man was dead shortly after they arrived on the scene and it took firemen more than an hour to free the body, which was trapped under the vehicle. The Guardia classified it as a work accident and the UGT and CC.OO labour unions have called for a demonstration outside the Junta de Andalucia's Employment Delegation in Malaga this week.
