MUSEUM DAY ATTRACTS THOUSANDS

Thousands of people in Spain and the rest of Europe took advantage of "International Museum Day" last Saturday to visit more than 2,000 museums and galleries free of charge. In the photo, people queued up outside the Prado Museum in Madrid where the main current attraction is an exhibition of Tintorreto's works. There was a similar scene outside the nearby Thyssen Museum, where there an exhibition called "Portraits in the century of Picasso" is on show.
