A female cleaner was decapitated in a tragic accident at a supermarket in Nerja last week. The woman had loaded her cleaning equipment into a service lift and gone up to the floor above to collect it, but was killed when she put her head into the elevator shaft just as the lift was arriving. Nerja Local Police would like to hear from a foreign customer of the supermarket who they believe witnessed the accident, but who was overcome with shock and left the premises immediately.
